Jimmy's guide: how to get a free iPad

Win an iPad 3

by donTed on June 13, 2011

Who wouldn’t want to win an iPad, especially if we’re talking about the new model? It would be an amazing gift to give to yourself, or even someone else who’s birthday is coming up. Getting an iPad for the woman you love would surely impress her. The new model is 0.6 mm thicker than the old one, but there’s a reason for that, because it has improved processing capabilities, thanks to its new, A5X chip.

Most people can’t afford to buy the iPad 3, so that’s when I come in! If you are one of those people and I bet you are, since you’re here, on my website, allow me to show you the way out of this problem. By the way, my name is Jimmy and in this article I’m going to show you just how easily you can get an iPad for free!

I have only one thing to ask from you. After you get your free iPad, will you take a picture of you and your new gadget and send it to me, so I can add you to my proof page. Thanks so much!

For most people, getting a free gadget like the iPad, would be something truly unbelievable. Apple products have changed drastically over the years, because they went from being outgunned by every other major competitor, to being desired by just about every person on the planet. Apple products are more than just simple gadgets, they represent a must-have fashion accessory, something that is necessary in order for you to be cool. And since it acts as a platform for audio and video media and it is situated between a phone and a laptop computer in size, you can read books or magazines, watch movies or listen to music, while going about your daily routine.

The third generation iPad comes with iOS 5 and it will only allow you to run applications that were especially made for it. This means that you will have to download them from the Apple Store. But since there are close to 200,000 applications available for it, you will need quite a lot of time to browse through them all. You can get the iPad at a reasonable price only if you choose a mobile carrier, such as AT&T or Verizon.

The iPad comes with Wi-Fi as standard, but you can also get it with 4G LTE capabilities, but this technology doesn’t work in every country, as some costumers found out at their own expense. The iPad

It was released on March 16, 2012 and Apple sold three million units in the first three days. This just shows what I’ve already told you: that despite its hefty starting price of 500 USD, the iPad is a must-have gadget for almost every individual.

Sales numbers are high even to this day, which means that it is a popular piece of equipment for the average consumer and businesses alike.

Apple released the first iPad in April 2010 and they managed to sell 300.000 units on the first day and three million in 80 days. Until the end of 2010, they sold about 15 million of them all over the world, a number that represented 75 percent of tablet sales for that period. By the time the second iPad was released, Apple managed to sell more of its predecessor than all the other tablet manufacturers combined. In 2011, it had cornered 73 percent of the tablet market share in the US.

The second generation iPad was released on March 2, 2011 by Apple CEO Steve Jobs himself, even though he was on medical leave at the time. Not only was it thinner by 33 percent and lighter by 15 percent than its predecessor, it also came with a faster, dual-core A5 chip, which was said to be nine times faster, from a graphical processing point of view. It came with two cameras, which allowed you to keep up with family and friends via the FaceTime application, it had the same battery life, 10 hours and, unfortunately, it also had the same price range, which meant that it was unaffordable for some people, just like its predecessor.

The third generation iPad is the same, when it comes to price. You can get the basic model, with Wi-Fi, for about 500 USD. In other words, most people would be very excited to learn that they could get this high-tech gadget, without having to pay for it. Ever since the first model came out, companies have been using it in order to promote their own products. In other words, you can win an iPad if you enter a contest where you have to complete several offers, or buy a couple of low-cost products. So if you don’t mind spending an amount of money that is only a fraction of the iPad’s cost, you can search for such opportunities, because I’m sure you will be able to find more than one.

Thanks to the iPad’s amazing technical features and the fact that it has many application at its disposal, it can be used by anyone, anywhere, without difficulties. This represents the key to its popularity.

It can become helpful or entertaining for anyone, from individuals to businesses and also has a platform for application development, which means that if you can’t find it, you can make it. So you are a working individual and you need to use Microsoft Office while on the go? No problem, the iPad has that too! You will be able to finish that presentation, while on the bus or train, which means that your family won’t be mad at you for bringing your work home.

Thanks to the iPad you will be able to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations from scratch and you will also be able to access the company network to get the information you need in order to finish your assignment. You will be able to do all of this during your daily commute.

The iPad can be a great tool for both teachers and students. The first will be able to teach interactively, to offer study aids and the later won’t have to carry all of his or hers books and notebooks to school and back, but they will be all there, in electronic form. The Apple store offers thousands of applications for people who are teaching or being thought, all you need to do is buy an iPad or, if you’re smart, get one for free. But no matter which method you choose, you will be able to enhance your learning capabilities significantly.

Free iPadThanks to iWork every teacher or student will be able to create or modify documents, presentations or spreadsheets, with the help of the Pages, Keynote and Number applications, which were especially created to improve the whole educational experience. In other words, if you own an iPad you will greatly benefit from the nearly 200,000 applications it will put at your disposal. The problem is that not many people can afford to spend 500 USD on such a high-tech gadget. And that’s just the starting price, if you want to have iWork, you will need to spend an additional 80 dollars. So, as I’ve said before, be smart and look for a way you can get it for free.

Because of the current economy, getting an iPad without having to pay for it would be something truly fantastic, especially if you start considering its amazing features. For example, it has an all-new and innovative display, which has 2048 by 1536 resolution, double the size of the previous model and 3.1 million pixels, four times the number in the iPad 2, all in the same 9.7 inch screen. Just like any other gadget from Apple with Touch Screen technology, the iPad 3 was made to be controlled by your fingers and not gloves or pens. The display responds to two sensors: an ambient light sensor which adjusts screen brightness and a 3-axis accelerometer, which senses which way you are pointing the device and turns the image accordingly, in either portrait or landscape modes. Unlike the other gadgets from Apple, which work in three orientations (portrait, landscape-left and landscape-right), the third generation iPad supports screen rotation in four orientations (+ upside-down).

The third generation iPad has four physical switches, which includes a Home button near the display and which helps the user return to the main menu. The three other switches can be found on the sides and are as follows: wake/sleep and volume up/down and one that is software-controlled and whose functions changed with the software updates.

From the camera’s point of view, the iPad just got better and better with each new model. The first iPad had no camera at all, the second one came with a front-facing VGA camera and a rear-facing 720p camera. The third generation iPad also has a front-facing VGA camera, called FaceTime, but its rear-facing one has 5 megapixels and 1080p, which supports tap to focus, just like the iPhone.

The iPad 3 comes with a few built-in applications, like Safari, Mail, iBooks, Photos, FaceTime, Maps, Newsstand, Messages, Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, App Store, iTunes, Music, Videos, Youtube, Notes, Game Center, Photo Booth, Camera. I’ve said “a few”, because it has about 200,000 waiting to be downloaded. And although the iPad was not designed to replace a mobile phone, because Apple wouldn’t want to make the iPhone obsolete, you can get it with Wi-Fi and Cellular capabilities, which means that you will be able to speak through a 4G or wireless network using a VoIP application with the help of a wired headset or the built-in speaker and microphone.

But all this awesome technology comes at a price, because the iPad’s starting price is 500 USD and if you want the top of the range model with Wi-Fi, Cellular with 64 GB of storage space, you will have to pay about 830 USD. And that’s a lot of money!

There are lots of ways you can win a free iPad, all you have to do is be at the right place, at the right time. The Internet is full of such opportunities, because by promising to give you an iPad as a reward companies can easily make you buy their products or services. The online world is a big place, so if you want to get the gadget you have been dreaming about without paying for it, arm yourself with time and patience, because it is the only way you will find what you are looking for. And if you happen to be the lucky winner, they will ship the iPad to your doorstep for free! This will be a win-win situation for both parties, because they will sell their products thanks to the iPad lottery and you will have a chance to win the Gadget from Apple, without having to pay for it.

There’s only one problem with these websites. There’s no way of telling which one will keep their promise and which won’t. Anybody can make a website and if they’re really good at what they do, you won’t be able to tell if it is fake or not. But let me give you a valuable piece of advice: when you find a website that promises to give you a free iPad if you complete some offers, read everything very carefully, before you join, just to make sure that they don’t ask you for any valuable information, like your credit card number, social security number and so on. If they do, then you better leave that website as soon as possible. The Apple iPad

Legitimate websites will only ask for your name and contact information, which they need in order to deliver the products you will have to buy from them and your free iPad. As I’ve said before, if they ask for anything more, then that is a clear sign that you’re in the wrong place.

So the smartest thing for you to do would be to look for the websites of the local stores you know, because that way you won’t be tricked.

Another great idea would be to check your local Apple Store to see if they have any promotions, which will allow you to win an iPad. But if you are thinking about sticking to searching the Internet for ways to get a free iPad, then you will be in above your head, because there’s no shortage of websites, which promise to help you do just that. They use an array of methods, but the problem is that the result is not always what you hope it will be, meaning that there are a lot of fakes out there. Depending on the site you join, you will be asked to answer some questions, fill out forms, take surveys or purchase some products.

Most companies that use one of these methods do so, because their actual goal is to acquire as much personal information as possible. And you may realize, when it’s too late, that you have been tricked, but by then there’s nothing you can do about it and you won’t be able to delete the information you’ve entered. So, as I’ve said before, read every bit of text you can find on the given website, before you decide to join.

But what companies that use this way of increasing sales numbers don’t know is that all they are really doing is alienating costumers, because in order to win an iPad you have to do so much more than just sign up. You have to start a process that seems to never end and if you’re not careful, it will burn a hole in your wallet and make you enter all your personal information, without giving you anything in return.

Usually, the people that create such websites are told either not to enter any information that will lead you to the truth, which is that you will not win an iPad, no matter how hard you try, or to make such valuable information so small, that you can only read it with a magnifying glass. But in both cases, the result will be the same: you won’t know what hit you, until it is too late!

Every website that you might come across will claim that it is legitimate, that it has been tried and tested by many people and so on. But you don’t have to believe them. If you want to make sure that the site you want to join is for real, you can search for information about it in online forums, because surely someone joined it before you.

As I’ve said before, they need to gather as much personal information as possible and they also need to have as many hits per day as possible. In other words, they will do just about anything in order to get users to visit their website.

But if you manage to find a valid website in this sea of clutter, there will be several things you will need to do for them:

1.Fill out an entire entry form (they will not allow you to join otherwise)

2.Provide contact information: name, address, email address and telephone number. You have to enter valid infos, otherwise they will send your prize to someone else.

3.Last, but not least, accept the site’s terms and conditions.

As a general rule, entering such a contest is easy and does not require all of your personal information. So you must stay clear of websites that ask for things like your social security number or bank account information, because this usually means that they are in it for their own personal gain and not yours.

But if you manage to find a valid contest, you should know that the rules are usually the same, but they tend to differ a bit from state to state.

So right now I’m going to give you a list of the standard rules for most of these competitions. If you don’t see them on a given website, then it usually means that it’s fake, which means that you shouldn’t join. Here they are:

1.Please fill out this form completely and include a brief description or information you would like us to add to our website.

2.Only one entry per person is allowed and any identified duplicates will result in a disqualification from the contest.

3.If any part of the provided contact information is not accurate and legitimate you will be disqualified from the contest.

4.The last day to enter the contest is: time and date go here.

5.If you win, the iPad will be shipped to you free of charge.

6.If you are under 18 years of age when the winner is picked you will be disqualified.

The last and most important thing you need to do is read terms and policies before you enter the contest.

Nowadays, the internet is full of websites offering contests, sweepstakes, games or lotteries promising to make you win that highly desired iPad. But most of these sites aren’t for real and all those contests mean more opportunities for them to acquire your personal information. So before signing up, you must investigate their claims of legitimacy. Even in this modern age, word of mouth is still the best form of advertisement, so before entering any form of contest ask around, to see if people you know have some valuable information to give regarding the given website.

Over recent years, the Internet has become the ideal place for companies to advertise their products and services, no matter what they might be. But, believe it or not, what they need most of all is traffic, as much per day as possible.

They don’t care about the duration or the purpose of your visit, as long as you access their website, therefore providing traffic and revenue.

As I’ve said before, you should read the terms and policies of the website you think is legitimate, in order to make sure that you won’t join and get nothing in return. A genuine site, which is offering a free iPad, no scams included, should have these amongst the rules:

1.No entries accepted after: Deadline date

2.Each individual can enter the contest only once

3.This form must be filled out entirely (you will also be asked to write about things you would like to see on the website in the future)

4.Provide valid infos so we can contact you in case you are the winner

5.Your iPad will be shipped free of charge

6.If you are not 18, you may not enter

7.Void where prohibited.

In conclusion, there’s no sure way of telling if the website you want to join is legitimate or not, but you can check for previous users, to make sure that you won’t be scammed. Once this is out of the way, all you have to do is follow their instructions and hope that you win! Good luck!
